We know that those who visit Fuerteventura do so thinking of its paradisiacal beaches and its exceptional climate. But we also know that, from time to time, you feel like doing more than sunbathing and swimming. Today we share a selection of the 5 museums thinking about the most restless minds. You can not miss them if you come to Fuerteventura and you want to know a little more about their culture and tradition. Take a note of it!

- MUSEO DE PESCA TRADICIONAL (Traditional fishing museum)

Get on your cheap rental car in Fuerteventura and head toward El Cotillo. There you will find amazing beaches, a charming village and a lighthouse that tells the story of the people from Fuerteventura (majoreros). Not surprisingly, this town has always been linked to fishing and the sea. The lighthouse of Tostón, located almost on the coast line, is a living testimony of these forms of life. In addition to the curiosities that you will find inside, you will be surprised by the desolate and hypnotic landscape.

- MUSEO DEL QUESO MAJORERO (Museum of Majorero cheese)

One of Fuerteventura's best valued gastronomic products is its cheese. So, what about making a stop to learn more about how it is made? This museum is located in the beautiful town of Antigua and is an interesting and didactic stop for those who are curious about the elaboration process of this delicacy. Park your cheap rental car in Fuerteventura nearby, visit the museum and then... enjoy a good cheese in one of the bars and restaurants located in the area!

- MUSEO DREAMS HOUSE (Dreams House Museum)

Dreams House is a peculiar museum. You won't find anything about the history of Fuerteventura, but you will find out about the common history of all those who live here, and also of the visitors. Because Dreams House is a museum of miniatures and scale models in which toys, landscapes and scenery are the protagonists that tells the story of a collective imagination that takes us to our childhood.

- CASA MUSEO UNAMUNO (Unamuno House-Museum)

This museum is located in Puerto del Rosario, in the house where the writer lived during his exile on the island (from March 12,1924 to July 9 of the same year). Although this is not an indispensable visit, it will be interesting for literature lovers, who will be able to see personally how the artist's residence was.

- MUSEO ARQUEOLÓGICO (Archaeological museum)

Finally, we recommend you to continue the museum route with your cheap rental car in Fuerteventura and go to Betancuria, where you will find the Archaeological Museum. There you will find remains and testimonies of the ancient settlers of Fuerteventura. Undoubtedly, an excellent way to end your holiday.
